Taste, don't eat.
Are you tasting your food or eating your food?
I recommend giving up eating your food and taking up tasting it instead.
Tasting implies you are present with the experience and really tuning into the nuances of the energies.
Eating implies you are falling into a habitual loop and becoming less conscious. We usually fall into eating out of fear, denial, exhaustion, or because we've never been taught differently.
Eating teaches our subconscious that we are under threat and need to get the food inside us fast before it is stolen from us. Tasting teaches our subconscious that we are safe.
The benefits of tasting our food are numerous. We slow down and chew more thoroughly, which is better for our digestion. We are more aware when we are full and therefore are less likely to overeat. We enjoy food more. We are more attractive to others we share meals with.
All diets, weight loss strategies, and weight-loss medications are made redundant by this simple knowledge.
However, as you tune into tasting, be aware that emotional energies and memories that you previously suppressed through eating may rise to the surface. Be present with these, allow them, breathe through them. Don't fall back into eating to suppress them. Continue tasting. Never eat again.
