Is this what I really believe or did I simply read or hear this somewhere?
Do I believe this because I've always believed this?
Do I believe this because everyone else believes this?
Do I believe this because I haven't ever questioned my belief?
Do I believe this because I know if I don't, I will get shunned in some way by other people (even subtly?)
Do I believe this because I'm supposed to believe it?
Do I believe this because the truth is unpalatable or uncomfortable?
Do I believe this because I'll get social status for having this belief?
Do I believe this because I simply don't know and it's more comfortable to think I do know?
Do I believe this because it fits some model of how I think the world should be?
Do I believe this because that's what virtuous people are supposed to believe?
