A Return to Virtue
There are greater prizes to be had
People are so defensive of their sin that the very concept of 'sin' has become taboo. People love their immorality so much, that the very idea of 'morals' is an anathema. They will defend their demons, and despise those who talk of virtue.
Am I saying it is better to rise above the frequency level of lust, of greed, of sloth? Then I must be oppressive. Shut me down! Send me back to the dark ages from whence I came!
And, yet, these ancient codes are not all about spoiling our fun, or keeping us in repressive straight-jackets. There are solid, practical, energetic reasons. There is great wisdom in the old moral codes. There was once a time when a man may have only seen his beloved's naked body in his entire life. A woman knew only his touch, his skin, his mouth. They lived and died only knowing the intimacy of each other. There was such beauty in that, such cleanliness and simplicity.
We don't need to sample everyone's energy. We don't need to devour each other like beasts at a free-for-all banquet. Isn't it enough to love one other whole human being, fully and completely? Isn't that what our hearts truly crave? Let us turn our backs on the lower entities and their paltry enticements. The energetic trade is not in our favour. Do we really need the complexity, the maladies, and the heart-break of the disregulated romantic life modernity offers us?
There are much greater prizes to be had. Come, take Love's hand. Let's walk forward into the Gardens of Spirit where purity resides.
For innocence is the great liberator. This is the prize we seek.
